Mayowa Nicholas Stars In Oscar de la Renta’s Resort 2020 Lookbook - She’s The Perfect Muse!

Mayowa Nicholas has quickly become an Oscar de la Renta fave – walking season to season for the brand’s shows and featuring in its campaigns. Now, the Nigerian model is the perfect muse for the ODLR’s resort 2020 collection were she models the new season pieces alongside Dutch model Marte Mei van Haaster.

The pre-spring collection was inspired by the Meiji Era, the 44-year period of Japan’s history from 1868 to 1912 when the country was under the rule of the great Emperor Mutsuhito.

The collection explores the introduction of Japan to western culture – featuring meticulous gold chains decorating waistlines reminiscent of military garb of the late 18th century mixed with pleated gowns with chain detailing as well as patchwork floral evening wear and cargo pants
