At the 2026 Met Gala, Wisdom Kaye arrived in a custom Public School look that merged historical references with a forward-looking edge. Designed by Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne, the outfit was created entirely from upcycled vintage pieces, placing sustainability at the core of the design.

The idea centered on reimagining the human form across different eras. To execute it, the designers sourced every element, from fabrics to accessories, through eBay. This method supported their approach to circular fashion while giving them access to a wide range of materials, freeing them to focus on tailoring and reconstruction.

The finished look was layered and deliberate, combining structure with fluidity. Kaye wore a cropped velvet jacket with a silk faille lapel over a high-neck jacquard shirt and a satin tie. The lower half introduced detached hip trousers, adding an experimental dimension. The torso was shaped with a dual corset construction that paired leather with lace-up detailing and a rigid, metal-boned form.

Mechanical gauntlet gloves completed the outfit, giving it a futuristic touch. The overall result brought together elements from different time periods into one cohesive and striking silhouette.
