Line of Culture, a community platform dedicated to the growth, development and promotion of African designers across the globe, is to embark on a fashion workshop dubbed The Start-Up Series. The workshop will be undertaken in selected institutions such as School of Fashion and Design, Marshalls, Maureens Signature, Dreams College of Creative Arts and Radford University College.

The aim of this workshop is to equip students and emerging designers the knowledge and skills needed in both classroom and on the field about the business of fashion and how to thrive in today’s world of fashion. Facilitators for the workshop are, Sewor Balasu a seasoned speaker and business coach, Eric Grundberry Aidoo a digital fashion illustrator and a creativity development lecturer, Aphia Sakyi a fashion & Accessories designer,Eugene Ossei is the chief editor for Colossium magazine,Kwesi Asephua is the head photographer for vine imagery,Darren Shim Ziorkley is an artist, creative director and fashion stylist and finally Hassan iddris is a fashion designer and creative director for the Hazza official brand.

The years of experience of these facilitators will give the attendees an insight into the career opportunities that exist in the fashion and business industry and how to carve out and develop their own fashion brand. The interactive nature of the workshop will also give them the chance to ask all the mind boggling questions about fashion and business which the facilitators are more than ready to answer. It is hoped that after this workshop will also be extended to other institutions both within and outside Ghana. Apart from the fashion workshop, Line of Culture has plans of organizing seminars, internship,exhange programs, fashions shows and others fashion related events in the year
