Cristiano Ronaldo took inspiration from the storm of excitement around comic books on Wednesday, as he posed for his new CR7 underwear campaign.

The sporting superstar, 34, flaunted his shirtless physique as he embraced his inner superhero for the Spring/Summer 2019 collection.

Displaying his six pack and enormous biceps, Cristiano’s campaign perfectly matched the themes of comic books with exaggerated actions and bright colours.

Jaw-dropping: Cristiano Ronaldo took inspiration from the storm of excitement around comic books on Wednesday, as he posed for his new CR7 underwear campaign

As he displayed the latest looks from his range, Ronaldo’s amazing pecs and arms took centre stage, with each snap representing a different superpower

The first was based around the theme of Power, while the second featured the word Belief and the third Strength.

Given the dramatic lightning theme, perhaps Ronaldo’s campaign took inspiration from the DC hero Shazam, who is transformed after an explosive spark of lightning.

Ronaldo is still one of football’s biggest stars, and this season has been playing for the Italian club Juventus.

He has also been dating former shop assistant Georgina Rodriguez since 2016, and the couple have a one-year-old daughter called Alana Martina together.

Georgia is also raising Ronaldo’s two-year-old twins Eva and Mateo and eight-year-old son Cristianinho.

Earlier this month Georgina spoke to Italy’s Elle magazine about her relationship with the Portugese player, as she explained they first met at the Gucci store where she worked.

She said: ‘The first meeting with Ronaldo was at Gucci where I worked as a sales assistant. Days later we saw each other again at another brand’s event…

‘It was then we could talk in a relaxed atmosphere, outside of my work environment… It was love at first sight for both.’
