So The Cut decided to see just how easy or difficult it is to create your own CG avatar by enlisting Preston Jessee, a motion graphics artist, to showcase the steps needed to complete the process.

Creating your own Lil Miquela could be a lucrative business, especially as the makers of the character, Brud, recently received $6 million USD in funding from Silicon Valley investors. The company has also appeared in the headlines after manufacturing a scandal by having an alt-right CG character it created “hack” Lil’ Miquela.
