Louis Vuitton is moving into the world of podcasts with popular French fashion journalist, documentary maker and YouTuber Loïc Prigent. Those a fan of Prigent may have recently seen his fly-on-the-wall YouTube video of Pharrell Williams‘ first show as the house’s menswear creative director.

Long-time fans of the house and Prigent can now dive deeper into the behind the scenes happening of one of the world’s most coveted French luxury fashion houses through its podcast, “Louis Vuitton Extended.” The first episode of the podcast will feature Pharrell Williams as he discusses his debut menswear collection with the French luxury maison, talking about his inspirations and how he created the show that drew celebrities like Beyoncé, JAY-Z, Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, Zendaya and more to Paris. Williams also explained his vision and decision to bring Voices of Fire, the gospel choir behind the collection’s “Joy (Unspeakable)” track. He notes that the recruited the choir through a 2020 Netflix series, “I wanted people to be clear that the universe had the sun shining on me, and so I felt like the greatest way to express that on the end of it was with the song ‘Joy’ by Voices of Fire. It’s like a Hallmark card for encouragement. When you’re feeling low, and you feel like you don’t have any other answers, faith is a very powerful thing.”

The podcast will be hosted by Prigent and in English. Vuitton said in a statement that episodes will be released bimonthly giving fans a “deep dive into the creative heart, minds and projects of the maison.” Guests of the podcast will vary, including the house’s creative directors to chefs, artists and more who have worked with Louis Vuitton on some of its culinary projects. Each episode is set to last 20 to 40 minutes and will be available for free on all main audio streaming platforms.
