The column gown was crafted from star-shaped macramé, enriched with crystals in fuchsia tones and featured a sculptural, hand-brushed organza cape enriched with bejeweled buttons.  a

She accessorized with a matching fan and totally blew us away with her hair and makeup.

Not missing an opportunity to show off black hair, Vernon François styled the Us actress’ hair in a dramatic, voluminous ‘fro. The unique thing about the style was the afro combs stuck in her hair which represented not just a game-changing accessory but also black power, a sign of collective identity. Her big, bold and black hair was complemented by bright campy makeup.
