Lagos based designer  Evans Akere gets candid with BBC about the future of Agbada in Nigeria in a new interview. The creative director and founder of Vanskere says that Nigerian traditional clothes will be accessible to everybody in the nearest future. He also adds that a time will come when bankers will be allowed to wear Agbada to work.

Vanskere, which is one of the most sort after clothing brands in Nigeria caters to a-list celebrities and fashionistas including Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and Richard Mofe Damijo. He adds that he isn’t leaving the Agbada industry any time soon and that he is determined to change the narrative about Agbada and give it “a new face”
