We imagine that if we were celebrating our birthday we’ll opt for the regular outdoor photoshoot. New clothes. The trendiest looks possible. And receive all the compliments with great appreciation. It’s on everyone’s birthday month buck-list literally.

But Latasha Ngwube decided to go for these glossy photo series transforming herself into a work of art. Marking her new age on Instagram, the About That Curvy Life founder and editor-at-large of Vanguard Allure went hard, beauty-wise.

She dressed her hair from blonde to brunette with three pretty sunflowers and rocked a bold facebeat that contrasted the backdrops. Captioned with the photos was a sweet message that declared self-love on the woman that she has bloomed into.

We definitely can’t think of a more impressive way to celebrate a birthday.
