Cristiano Ronaldo, and his fiancee Georgina Rodriguez arrived this morning at a Spanish court in style, where he accepted a fine and suspended jail sentence for his tax fraud case.

The 33-year-old Juventus striker was ordered to pay a total of 18.8million euros(£16.9million) after the deal with the Spanish prosecutors was confirmed at a court hearing in Madrid this morning.

He also received a 23-month prison sentence but as a first-time offender for a non-violent crime, he will not spend a day in jail, according to Mail Online Sport

Ronaldo who played for Real Madrid before moving to Juventus was initially alleged to have defrauded 14.7 million euros (£12.95 million) but it was confirmed on Friday they were accusing him of defrauding just over 5.7 million euros (£5.3million).
