A 20 year old Instagram Model named Kaylen Ward is now calling herself The Naked Philanthropist on social media. She is a Los Angeles influencer and an online sex worker, and after learning about the massive brush fires in Australia she wondered how she could help.

“I was seeing all the posts on Twitter about the Australian fires and I was really concerned there wasn’t a lot of media coverage and not a lot of people donating,” she told BuzzFeed News.

Then Ward had an idea. The influencer already sells nude photos online, so she decided to do so for charity? On Jan. 3, she tweeted that anyone who sent proof that they’d donated at least $10 to a list of Australian charities would get a nude photo of her in their DMs.

Ward initially hoped to raise around $1,000. She exceeded that goal in just a few hours.

After 3 days the Naked Philanthropist had raised over $300,000.

Unfortunately, Instagram complicated things for Ward. Though she was running the campaign through Twitter, word of it spread to Instagram, where Ward had 50,000 followers. Instagram shut down Ward’s account, claiming she’d violated their guidelines regarding sexual content.

But if you want to save some koalas and see some boobies, don’t worry – Ward’s campaign is still active. She’s launched a new Instagram account and has pledged to continue the effort to fight the fires.
