The maiden edition of the Ghana Kids Fashion Festival has been revealed by the Exopa Model Agency to come off in December this year. The Boss of the Exopa Model Agency Abu Sadick explained that the sole purpose of the initiative was to encourage modelling in children in order to ensure they develop strong professional skills for the profession as they grow and mature into Top Models.

Speaking to Shine Publications about the initiative, he said, “It’s the maiden edition, and we created this platform for our kids who are interested in modelling to pick up the profession at the early age so they can master the craft as they grow up to become professional Top Models”.

Furthermore, Abu Sadick stated that there will be the opportunity for individuals, children related brands and fashion houses, to market their businesses to the guests at the event through the fashion show and an exhibition which will occur simultaneously. “We are also welcoming kids Fashion Designers and Kids Boutiques to showcase their collections. Plus, there will be an exhibition for vendors of children clothing and other items, to sell their products and services to the audience”, he said.

According to the organizer Abu Sadick, The festival will comprise two parts, namely: a Kids Fashion Show and a Kids Top Model Competition.

Earlier, there were calls for the auditions and 24 kids attended. Out of the 24, only 14 will be selected to walk the runway on the Fashion Festival. The Ghana Kids Fashion Festival is intended to become an annual event which will shed more light on children in fashion.
