Justin Bieber Turns Coachella 2026 Into a $15M Retail Moment With SKYLRK
Justin Bieber did more than headline Coachella 2026. He reshaped what the festival can mean commercially. After two weekends in the California desert, his independent label SKYLRK reported an impressive 15 million dollars in merchandise sales. That number far exceeds the previous record of 1.7 million and places Bieber at the center of a growing overlap between music, fashion, and retail.
The figures, shared with Vogue Business, show how the momentum built. The first weekend alone brought in just over 5 million dollars. The second weekend added another 10 million, boosted by a mix of on-site purchases and carefully timed online releases. Instead of relying on a standard merch booth, SKYLRK created a more immersive setup with its own retail space and a nearby lounge area designed for comfort. This approach turned shopping into part of the experience and positioned the products as fashion pieces rather than typical concert merchandise.
Founded in mid 2025, SKYLRK is led creatively by Bieber alongside Neima Khaila and Finn Rush-Taylor. Coachella became a natural stage for the brand. During the first weekend, Bieber wore unreleased designs such as an Apple green fleece hoodie and a Smudge fleece tee. By the second weekend, he introduced denim and accessories, continuing a strategy that builds anticipation by showcasing pieces before they are available to buy.
The impact extends beyond direct sales. Data from Launchmetrics shows the brand generated 2.3 million dollars in Media Impact Value and saw a noticeable increase in social media following after the first weekend.
As demand quickly outpaced supply, SKYLRK adapted by opening online pre orders between weekends, allowing fans around the world to take part. Now that the festival has ended and pre orders are closed, attention shifts to what comes next. The scale of this success suggests that SKYLRK is not just riding the moment but setting a new blueprint for how artists can build fashion businesses around live events.
