Kith Announces Giorgio Armani Collaboration
Kith is collaborating with Giorgio Armani on a “suit project,” becoming the first brand to ever partner with the Italian menswear designer on a collection.
Creative director and founder Ronnie Fieg took to social media on Wednesday afternoon to announce the partnership, calling Mr. Armani his “North Star” collaborator.
“To say Mr. Armani is an icon would be an understatement,” Fieg wrote. “His perspective on fashion changed the way the world chose to dress. He founded his own brand and built it into an empire that he still retains 100% control of 49 years later. He set the impossibly high standard that I push myself to reach every day.”
Fieg went on to explain that he first initiated conversations with Armani over a year ago, as he felt he and his team were ready to “work with the best” after four years of releasing suits under the Kith label.
“The team and I were invited to Milan to present an idea on what a collaborative project could look like, and we took it very seriously,” he added. Instead of presenting his ideas in a deck, Fieg created a book, which he was able to take Armani through in person.
“Thank you Mr. Armani for trusting us with this opportunity. And thank you to my team for helping bring it to fruition,” he concluded.
Kith’s Giorgio Armani collaboration is “coming soon.” Stay tuned to Hypebeast for more updates on the launch.
