Virgil Abloh first designed the Silver Lockit Bracelet for Louis Vuitton (PARIS:MC.PA -1.88%) ‘s ongoing UNICEF partnership back in 2020, contributing to the $18M USD that Louis Vuitton has donated to the charity since 2016. Now, its efforts are continued with 2022’s iteration, echoing the original Abloh design while introducing new codes.

Specifically, the Silver Lockit Bracelet range includes a chain, padlock, and Louis Vuitton charm in “Natural” or “Black” titanium, with “Neon Yellow,” “Rainbow,” or “Black” cord bracelets forming the jewelry piece. The overall look is discrete, especially in the black-on-black with neon yellow iteration, coming in as one of the more unassuming Abloh-designed pieces from Louis Vuitton.

Aside from the LV logo appearing on the locks themselves, the bracelets bring plenty of Abloh’s design energy into their construction, in most part thanks to the combination of titanium links harking back to various Louis Vuitton bag straps and collection details. The use of cord is frequent in Abloh’s work, perhaps most well-known for its use on the designer’s Nike Dunk collaboration, while the bracelet itself is actually a reference to George Vuitton’s tumbler lock created in 1890 to protect precious belongings.
