Wind the clock back to this time last year, and fashion, just like everything else, was in a state of flux. With the coronavirus curtailing real-life shows, the 2021 edition of Riohs Show took place at Alliance Française d’Accra on the 25th of September.

In a vast and airy space, 105 designers unveiled their collections – and while they might have weathered the year from hell due to coronavirus, the clothes were as wildly creative as ever.

Michelle Azumah a graduating student of the school, stole our attention with her breathing collection.

According to her;

“I think of sustainability as a social performance for the people, environmental growth for the planet, and economic development for profit. Drawing inspiration from my surname AZUMAH which means warrior, through intensive research translates to a powerful woman. I find a warrior to be a powerful woman who is sophisticated and elegant.
A glass of champagne is a choice for such a woman.”
