Rick Owens Drops $1,700 USD LAMYLAND Fragrance That Comes In A Camel Skin-Lined Box
Rick Owens‘ Spring/Summer 2022 runway collection “FOGACHINE” has just dropped in-stores and online, and while the selection of garments, accessories, and shoes are worthy of their own mention, its the oddities from this season that have really caught the eye of the avant-garde designer’s fanbase. Teaming up with his life partner and muse Michèle Lamy, Rick Owens has dropped a new LAMYLAND fragrance, and it’s quite the spectacle.
Limited to just 1,000 editions, the fragrance comes in a special package that sees a bottle made in France and its bronze and silver monkey-themed cap made in Italy, with this coming served in a silver fir wood box that’s laser-inscribed with its edition number and lined with the skin of a camel.
Describing the project, Rick Owens’ website notes, “LAMYLAND PERFUME IS A CREATION FROM THE LAMYLAND TRIBE, A SMELL OF THEIR TRAVELS, FROM EMPTY QUARTERS TO THE SOUTH BRONX.” With this in mind, the fragrance presents a heady mix of top notes comprising Calabria bergamot, black Nepal cardamom, and Spanish saffron, alongside heart notes of styrax, gold incense, myrrh, and palo santo. Base notes include amber, oakmoss, vetiver java, and vanilla, meaning the scent comes together with a strong immediate whiff underpinned by classic touches of sophisticated woodiness and a slight sweetness too.
Rick Owens’ LAMYLAND fragrance can be seen above and bought online or at flagship stores worldwide for $1,700 USD.
