Vivienne Westwood’s SS23 Collection Is Full Of Multifaceted Wonder
In line with the brand’s cadence of setting forth eye-catching creations, Vivienne Westwood’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection is full of multifaceted wonder. With creative director Andreas Kronthaler at the helm, the latest offering retains the brand’s vibrancy while inserting new constructions.
Titled “BORN TO REWILD,” the wide-reaching new collection is just as expansive as its name suggests. Comprising the offering are a slew of designs and fabrications spanning embroidered denim, pin-stripe jacquard suiting, archival floral prints, formal fil-coupes, graphic-print loungewear and more. Whether it be channeling the Queen of Hearts with vibrant red heart-print sweatpants or taking on a more formal evening in a tailored black suit, the collection is equipped for a range of places. Amongst the range of fanciful pieces, key pieces include a structured deep blue denim coordinating set and pinstripe suiting in shades of navy and cream.
Bringing the collection to life is its accompanying campaign which was shot in the suburbs of Paris. From rock-laden rooftops to grassy front yards, the variety of settings aptly mirrors the collection’s vibrancy. Additionally, the new collection is set to support Rewilding Britain, which focuses on combating climate change. Specifically, the organization aims to rewild 30% of Great Britain by 2030.
