Wind the clock back to this time last year, and fashion, just like everything else, was in a state of flux. With the coronavirus curtailing real-life shows, the 2021 edition of Oran Fashion Week took place at Abdelkader Alloula theater, last weekend. 

“Vintage but original”, which means “Old but original”, was the theme for the third edition of Oran Fashion Week proudly organized by Nasrallah Lakhdar . A slogan that has lived up to its name this weekend in the North-West of Algeria, Oran. From the ingeniously revisited Oran jacket to the presence of animals, including a sheep. Oran is considered the second most important city of Algeria after the capital Algiers, due to its population, commercial, industrial, and cultural importance.

The ensembles from designers were heart-stirring, a historic moment that redefined fashion. One sheep stole the show from its peers and from the models who strolled past the fashion enthusiasts. Crazy right? this scene was filmed by several people in the audience, it heavily gained engagement on the various social media networks. Gone are the days when the runway was only for humans. Today, our animal friends are also making their presence felt with their breathtaking statement on the runway, all thanks to El Moustach. 

Hicham Gaoua is the name of the curled horns sheep that walked the runway like a “professional model”.
