As usual, Virgil Abloh has been attracting a handsome amount of attention this Summer for his fashion initiatives, especially because of his crossover Louis Vuitton (PARIS:MC.PA -1.34%) x Nike Air Force 1 collection along with his soon-to-be-dropping 50 Dunk capsule. With the seasonal shift coming up in just a couple of months time, the luxury designer is taking us backstage for a behind-the-scenes look at the process of creating his Men’s Louis Vuitton’s F/W ‘21 fashion show.

“Fashion isn’t about the clothing”, Abloh states when speaking on the capsule. “It’s about the picture that’s painted. About how clothing can reinforce or destabilize prejudice. And that’s the collection.” Throughout the course of the 15 minute video, we get an up-close look at how the clothes were styled together and what themes were implemented. The heavy hitters of the show were the city scape garments, and Abloh explains in the video that these were inspired by his architecture background. Many of the other looks in the show were also categorized and his team is shown piecing together the specific looks that were meant for a job interview, drifters, outdoor guys and more.

Choreography was also a key element of the show. Contemporary dancers and figure skaters were called to be part of the experience along with Yasiin Bey who was tapped to create a track that backdropped the runway show.

Check out the full footage here above, and be on the lookout for these pieces to start rolling out in the coming weeks.
