Here’s What Went Down At The 2022 Edition Of Ghana Tertiary Fashion Awards
The Fashion In Africa (FIA) is delighted to reveal the winners of The Ghana Tertiary Fashion Awards 2022. The event raises the portfolio of students and graduates as well as discovering and introducing fresh talents into the fashion industry. The event celebrates the role of students and new talents in the Ghana fashion industry. It recognizes the outstanding students, emerging brands and institutions whose imagination and creativity have transform the possibilities of fashion today.



The fourth ceremony celebrated thirty-one awards for students, new talents and institutions including one special recognition award.

Student Designer of the year – Kwabena Ennu Vaness (University of Ghana) and Richard Osafo (Yorke City Academy)
Student Accessories Designer of the year – Amina Musah Abiluck (Unversity of Education)
Student Fashion Illustrator of the year – Kwasi Appoh (Takoradi Technical University)
Student Textile Designer of the year – Philip Nsiah (KSTU)
Student Fashion Brand of the year – Van Lusso (University of Ghana)
Sustainability Award for Student – Rabiatu Zakaria (Riohs College of Design)
Innovative Award for Student – Abena Yawson (Riohs College of design)
Cultural and Heritage Award for Student – Augustina Ophelia Anane (Riohs College of design)
Student Fashion Entrepreneur of the year – Sadika Esi Kwenua (Tads Fashion Institute)
Student Fashion Icon of the year – Mawuko the Stylist (UEW)
Student Model of the year – Leja (KNUST)
Student Photographer of the year – Kwesi the Artist (University of Cape Coast)
Student Beauty Queen of the year – Stephanie Yeboah (KSTU)
Student Makeup Artist of the year – Amina Musah Abiluck (University of Education)
Fashion School of the year – Abrantie College
Beauty School of the year – Abrantie College
New Designer of the year – Ella Impens
New Accessories Brand of the year – Laurels Gh
New Fashion Brand of the year – Da- Wunis
New Streetwear Brand of the year – Three Twenty One
New Swimwear Brand of the year – Swims by Didi
New Women-Wear Brand of the year – Eles Studio
New Model of the year – Abena Cony
Emerging Fashion Entrepreneur of the year – Roselyn Dick
Sustainability Award for New Talent – Crystal Pary
Fashion Instructor of the year – Nana Black
Beauty Brand of the year – L Queency Beauty Store
New Makeup Artist of the year – Nana Spices
Online Fashion Shop of the year – Infinity Store
Beauty Educator of the year – Venda Jule
Special Recognition Award – Awo Amoabeng




The Ghana Tertiary Fashion Awards is focused on improving equality and opportunity so that the fashion industry remains diverse and open to all, helping talented designers at emerging stage of their career from school level through to becoming a global fashion brand.
Each winner received #TheGTFA trophy and a citation. Ghc4000 was awarded to the winners from the student designer of the year categories to support them create their depute collection.
